Charnwood Acres Mobile Home Park is surrounded by places to go and things to see! Just 3 miles away is the charming village of Newtown Linford with its quaint Thatched Cottages, Pubs and numerous Cafes & Tea Rooms. In fact the whole area has an abundance of Restaurants from the national chain pubs to independant hostileries serving real ales. Newtown Linford has a main entrance into Bradgate Park, the historic Deer Park and ruins of Bradgate House, the early home of Lady Jane Grey – Nine Days Queen of England!

A babbling brook runs through the village and into the park where deer roam freely amongst the bracken and ancient trees & undergrowth. Take a picnic and enjoy a stroll through the park and find a clearing to sit and chil. Or take a bike and go on through to the other end of the park and into Swithland Wood which has an endless amount of walks, most leading to the disudsed flooded quarry in the centre of the woods. Fenced off from the public but used by local diving clubs that have had all manner of items like busses and cars submerged to enjoy their hobby.

Across the fields from Charnwood Acres (But you need to drive by road) is Thornton Reservoir where fishing is available. And it is alway fun to take small children to feed the Swans and Ducks.

This and more besides all within a few minutes drive from Charnwood Acres. Not that you need to leave the fabulous natural suroundings of our woodland retreat.
